Zameer Kochar

Piyush Kumar Chowhan
Sr VP and CIO | Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd

An alumni of Surat’s National Institute of Technology and Bhubaneshwar’s Xavier Institute of Management, Piyush began his career as a consultant for Tata Infotech, developing and deploying IT supply chain solutions for clients in for two and half years. He joined Wipro in 2001 as a Program Manager, where once again he was involved in supply chain management for clients in India and USA. He was promoted to Supply Chain Consultant where he gained insight into planning and execution of systems like i2 and Highjump.

In 2006, Piyush moved to Tesco as Lead of Program Delivery Manager where he led the delivery of various IT retail capabilities across 13 countries where the brand functioned. After seven years, he shifted to SanDisk as Senior Manager, where he setup and led the business analytics team to support channel management for its retail and OEM business. He was also responsible for building capability in channel financial management and analytics and delivering solutions for its worldwide operations.

In 2014, he joined Walmart Labs India as Director – Strategy, Analytics and Services, where he identified business opportunities, set strategies, assembled cross-functional teams, and managed resources to achieve results using analytics and process engineering practices. His team identified complex problems and identified solutions based on progressive process standards, Lean Six Sigma, etc.

In 2016, Piyush joined Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, where in his current capacity as Sr VP and CIO, he is responsible for IT strategy, ensuring business value for IT projects and development of tech resources.

Anurag Mathur

New Delhi-based Anurag Mathur is a Partner with Strategy and Management consulting practice at PwC India. Prior to this, he has worked with Accenture and Nestle in India.

Anurag has a wide gamut of consulting experience working in business transformation, growth strategy, operating model and supply chain management across the domains of consumer goods, retail and e-commerce. Anurag has led large scale transformation projects with several global and Indian companies to develop and implement solutions for growth.

He also brings experience in new age areas of analytics and digital marketing and is passionate about digital business disruption in traditional industries and the transformation in businesses through data driven insight.

Sunil Nair
Sr VP, Technology & Biz Solutions | SPAR India

After completing his Masters in IT from University of Pune, Sunil Nair started his career in 1994 as a Computer Programmer for Shapoorji Pallonji and Co. After a year, he shifted base to Saudi Arabia and joined Landmark Group as Head IT. After a decade in this position, he transferred to the company’s Dubai office as a Business Analyst.

In 2007, Sunil joined Wipro as Retail Domain Specialist-Australia, where he oversaw program and delivery management for large retail projects, pre-sales consulting, client advisory and alliance management. A year later, he joined Madura Fashion & Lifestyle as Head–IT Retail, where he rolled out retail merchandise system, merchandise financial planning, assortment planning and POS solutions for the company.

After three and half years with the apparel brand, he returned to Landmark Group’s, to join the Auchan Hypermarket division. This company was a franchisee agreement between Landmark’s Max Hypermarkets and Groupe Auchan. As VP–Technology Solutions of Auchan Hypermarkets, India, Sunil completed an end-to-end Oracle Retail ERP implementation.

In 2014, he moved vertically to join the Spar India team, which is a Landmark Group and Spar Netherlands venture. In his current role as Sr VP–Technology and Business Solutions, he set up traditional IT infrastructure, including help desk, data centers and business systems as well as the tech landscape for omnichannel business. He also developed a digital strategy for the business, working with partners in IoT, virtual reality and proximity marketing, etc.

Chirag Boonlia
Group CTO | Embassy Group

Amechanical engineer from Dibrugarh University and armed with an MBA from IBS Hyderabad, Chirag Boonlia started his career as a Software Engineer with Infosys in 2003, before shifting to Oracle as a Senior Consultant. In 2008, he joined JSoft Solutions Ltd as Senior Project Manager for Business Applications and after three years, he joined Aditya Birla Retail Ltd as Assistant GM-IT. He was later promoted to Deputy GM–IT, where he led the service delivery and infrastructure Management, along with supply chain management roll outs with Oracle and Infor WMS’ products.

In 2013, he joined Virtuous Retail as Assistant VP–IT, where he headed the IT, ERP, CRM and B2B integration across platforms and technologies for footfall implementation, infrastructure and storage management and disaster recovery management. Three years later, he was promoted to VP–IT where he initiated and innovated IT requirements for assigned business functions and their delivery in accordance with project goals, time scales and costs.

Chirag joined Embassy Group as Group CTO in February 2019.

Arun Gupta
Consulting CTO | Praxis Home Retail

Arun Gupta began his career in 1985 as a Territory Customer Services Manager for OMC Computers. His contribution across various functions including sales, R&B and general management, saw him get promoted four times within five years.

In 1991, he joined The Great Eastern Shipping Co as IT Manager, where he contributed towards the dismantling of EDP and implemented Oracle financials in the organization. Five years later, he moved to DSP Merrill Lynch as VP-IT, where he formulated guidelines and standards in conjunction with company’s global standards for computer systems, and communications, in line with the business strategy.

In 1999, he was appointed as the National IT Manager of DHL Worldwide Express, and within a year, he developed and implemented sales force automation for the company. Two years later, he decided to lead the IT and ISP operations of Hughes Telecom India as VP-IT. In 2002, he joined Pfizer Ltd as Senior Director-BT, where he created a Center of Excellence on technology domains for the Asia Pacific region.

In 2006, he was appointed IT Director of Philips and a year later, he shifted to K Raheja Corp as Group CIO.  Arun was the Group CTO of Shoppers Stop for over five years. He facilitated business improvements with a mix of new technology implementations and upgrades; thus enabling in the reduction of operating IT expenses and freeing budgets for strategic initiatives.

In 2014, he led the transformation agenda driven by technology rationalization for Cipla as Global Chief Information Officer, before changing tracks to become an advisor to various companies. These included GlobalSpace Technologies, Caliber Infosolutions, Simplr Solutions, Uniken, Unotech Software, Locuz Enterprise Solutions, Systech International.

He is currently the Consulting CTO for Praxis Home Retail where he formulates the IT strategy and helps execute business strategies with technology-led business innovation and transformation.

Ranjan Sharma
CIO & Head of Supply Chain | Bestseller

Ranjan Sharma began his career in 1996 as a Product Manager with Futurecom, where he handled sales of IT infrastructure to leading corporates and developed a sales and maintenance team. In 2001, Ranjan joined Vishal Retail as Store Manager and within four months was promoted to Assistant Store Manager and later SCM and Logistics Manager. He was transferred to Delhi headquarters as Head–IT, where he successfully managed the IT deployment, which ran on Ginretail.

In 2007, he took the position of Head–SAP for Future Knowledge, where he built a low-cost IS-Retail practice to make the group completely self-dependent. After two years, he became the Head of Solutioning and Packaged Applications, and successfully steered a cost-effective application development and maintenance team. A year later, he was promoted to Head-IT, where he implemented Infor WMS, TMS and BI solutions.

Ranjan joined Bestseller in 2012 as Head of IT and Supply Chain Management, and is currently the CIO and Head of Supply Chain. In his current role, he is responsible for orchestrating the company’s IT roadmap, business process design, system and process implementation, solution roll-out, review, maintenance, etc.

Faisal Amin

Faisal is a Post Graduate in Business Administration specialising in Advertising from IMS, Indore and an Economics Graduate from Bhopal School of social Sciences, Bhopal. Rahul Bhalchandra
Co-Founder, YLG Salons

Rahul is a professional turned entrepreneur with domain expertise in Health & Beauty retail and services. He Co-Founded YLG, a Bangalore based Salon chain along with his better half Vaijayanti, quit his corporate job at Future Group and moved to Bangalore to set up YLG in 2008. Both are engineers from different IIT’s (Kharagpur and Mumbai) and hold MBA’s from India’s best business schools (IIM Calcutta and Symbiosis).

With Rahul’s background in Health & Beauty Retail, his first instinct was to start a retail chain. However, a combination of Statutory (Retail FDI is not allowed in India) environment and investor interest (why don’t you start a Beauty Service business?) led both to think seriously if they wanted to jump into the salon business. A joint thinking period of over a month later, both were committed to building a Salon Chain which would consistently deliver world class services and products for the Indian woman at reasonable prices.

Prior to YLG, Rahul was Head – Wellness business for the Future Group. He built the Health & Beauty Category, set up the beauty salon chain “Star & Sitara” for the company. He was instrumental in setting up India’s first Gym Chain in Malls in a JV with Talwalkars for the Future group. He has played the pivotal role in setting up the Sachin Tendulkar – Future Group initiative “Sach”. Before Future Group, Rahul headed the Branded retail business for Arvind brands (Arrow, Lee, Wrangler and Excalibur). His entry in retail began as the Business Head of Health & Glow, which today continues to be the most successful format of its kind in India. Rahul started his career with the RPG Group, working at RPG Cables and Ceat Ltd, in various marketing & General Management responsibilities.

Vaijayanti Bhalchandra
Co-Founder, YLG Salons

Vaijayanti is the co-founder of YLG Salons & YLG Institute, Bangalore based Beauty brand which operates over 60 salons. YLG is known for being a pioneer in the beauty industry and has transformed the quality of education and standard of the beauty services across South India. YLG Institute , the beauty training school of YLG was established by Vaijayanti in 2008, is accredited by the PMKVY( Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana), global certification body CIBTAC, is a L’Oréal partner academy, and has become one of India’s finest schools for hairdressing and beauty.

Vaijayanti is proud of having trained over 5,000 beauticians and hairdressers (Most of them women) till date which has given them a chance for leading life as a professional hairdresser or therapist and transformed their lives. She has been on the curriculum committee for the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skills Council (B&WWSC), a Jury member for selection of the finalists for World Skills Competition. She believes that educating women across social strata and underprivileged candidates is the best way of giving back to society.

Recently, Vaijayanti has been conferred with the Mahatma Gandhi Samman at the Global Achievers Conclave at the House of Commons, Westminster Palace, UK Parliament, London on Oct 25, 2018. She has also been conferred with the prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award in March’18.

Shreyansh Kapoor
Vice President and Partner, Kashi Jewellers

Shreyansh Kapoor joined his family business, Kashi Jewellers, after completing his graduation from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University (USA) and is a Certified Gemologist from GIA, (Carlsbad). He is a winner of ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award -2014’ at JNA (Oscars of Jewellery Industry), at Hong Kong and has served two terms 2014-2016 as a Regional Chairman of UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Haryana and Board of Director of All India Gem & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF).

Shreyansh’s quest for excellence and creativity helped him expand the horizons of Kashi Jewellers from a retailer to a manufacturer, to become an export house. Under his guidance, the company is an established fixture at Mumbai’s invitation-only India International Jewellery Week, where he organizes an individual exhibition to display exclusive tailor-made pieces specially designed for the show.

Till date, Kashi Jewellers has won various awards, including ‘No.1 Exporter’ in Gems and Jewellery industry by the Uttar Pradesh Government. It has also exhibited in numerous International Exhibitions, which include Basel World (Switzerland), JCK Las Vegas (USA), JCK Orlando (USA), Vicenza (Italy), IIJS Mumbai and IIJS Signature Goa under the able banner of The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

Kabir Siddiq
CEO & Founder, SleepyCat

Having done his bachelor of Arts- BA, Double Major in Telecommunications and Economics from Indiana University Bloomington. He started working with Deutsche Bank for 3 years as a Senior Analyst. He then moved on to Space International Pte Ltd as Strategy and Business Development learning about the furniture and mattress production and distribution. Kabir Siddiq an innovator at heart then started SleepyCat in August 2017 which offers a quality luxury mattress in a box. Combined with experience and knowledge he designed an innovative mattress which is comfortable, compressed in a box, easy to deliver and is available online. 

Ramesh Kapoor
CFO, Numero Uno Clothing Ltd

Ramesh Kapoor has almost three decades of experience, of which almost 15 years have been in apparel retail. After completing his Chartered Accountancy, he worked with Tata International Limited, an export company from the TATA Group, for almost a decade and half. Thereafter, he joined Sports and Leisure Apparel Limited (LACOSTE) as CFO and in 2006, he joined Genesis Colours. In 2008, he joined Giorgio Armani India as CFO and after five years, he moved to Study By Janak, an ethnic fashion brand as CFO.

After a brief two years, he joined Numero Uno Clothing Ltd (NUCL) as its CFO and also heads the IT, HR, accounts and finance divisions. In his current role, he manages the financial, operational and related activities of NUCL, specializing in strategic financial controls, private equity planning, commercial negotiations, M&A, audits, planning, budgeting and consolidation of accounts with board reports.

Amanpreet Ahluwalia
Business Head | Zoya

Amanpreet Ahluwalia has almost two decades of experience, most of it in the retail domain. After completing her post-graduation from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, she started her career as retail merchandiser with Gokaldas Exports Groups and after a year and half, she joined Titan Industries as Assistant Manager-Retailing. In 2002, she joined Samsung Electronics where she was Senior Marketing Manager for its home appliances division, before doing a brief stint with Worldspace India. In 2005, she went back to Titan Industries as Marketing Manager for Retail and she later took on the role of Retail Consultant.

In 2013, she joined Mahindra Retail as GM-Marketing where she was Responsible for driving marketing strategy, communication and customer engagement to deliver overall business plan before joining the Tata Group as Business Head of Zoya, its premium jewelry brand. She also worked with Barista Coffee Company for a brief while.

Samir Modi
Founder and MD of Colorbar and founder, 24Seven retail stores

An alumnus of Harvard Business School, Samir Modi’s stint in US has given him a global perspective and a multicultural approach to work. Armed with a contemporary philosophy of management and lateral thinking, he launched Modicare in 1996, the first Indian direct selling company. He later set up ColorBar, a homegrown cosmetic brand, in 2004 and also founded 24Seven chain of convenience stores in 2005.

Rohit Sobti
Co-founder & CEO | Brand Monk Licensing

Rohit Sobti is the CEO and Co-Founder of Brand Monk Licensing and has almost two decades of experience in developing new businesses, exploiting the intellectual property and brand extension in India and international markets. In his last role, he was VP-Licensing and Merchandising at Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Rohit started his career in 2001 in Sony Music Entertainment’s sales division, where he handled the channel sales using a process-driven approach, which was considered unique to the music industry back then. Two years later, he joined YRF as Regional Manager for North and East India, where he set up the company’s operations in the region and appointment of sales, accounts and logistics team in addition to a channel network. He was also give the responsibility of managing theatrical distribution in India and overseas markets.

In 2011, the company appointed him as GM for Licensing and Merchandising and he was tasked with the job of identifying and leveraging the existing intellectual property while creating a brand extension strategy.

Visvanathan Srinivasan
CFO – Apparel & Retail | Madura Lifestyle and Fashion

Visvanathan Srinivasan joined the Aditya Birla Group in the year 2007 and has since worked in the Textile and Apparel business. Prior to that, he worked with the Tata Group in its Auto Components Business for a decade. He has also worked with Voltas Ltd in various capacities and slowly rose to the position of the CFO of Allwyn, which was later taken over by Voltas Limited. He started his career as a Financial Controller with UGI Gujarat Gas.

A commerce graduate from Chennai University, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Cost Accountant who studied at the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India.

Jitender Singh
CEO | MiniDukan

Jitender Singh is a first generation entrepreneur with 22 years of experience in channel sales within different sectors and as an entrepreneur. He started his first venture with Starfin India in 2010 as founder director and exited successfully in 2018.

Prior to that, he spent over 13 years with leading and developing channel sales distribution for FMCG, telecom and travel companies. Over the years, Jitender has built a track record in network leadership and team management, fueling business growth in both B2C and B2B revenue models. He has experience in new product development, launch, channel restructuring, key account management, operations and administration. Jitender is also a board member with Nysaa Retail Pvt Ltd.

Mohit Khattar
CEO | Graviss Foods (Baskin Robbins)

Mohit Khattar has over 25 years of business experience in sales, marketing and retail functions across various industries. Of this, he has spent the last decade in leadership roles in the retail industry.

Starting his career as a Product Manager in Titan Industries in 1992 before being elevated to Brand Manager, he launched Timex watches in India. Later, he was promoted to Sales Manager for the western region to lead the sales operations for Timex watches.

After spending six years in the company, he joined Reckitt Benckiser India as Regional Manager (West) in 1999, where he grew the business by focusing on re-alignment of the distribution channel and disciplined sales operations. Two years later, he was promoted to Marketing Manager, where he had to identify and quantify new product and concept ideas and opportunities for the business and develop and launch products.

In 2002, he was appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing at Chennai-based T.I Cycles of India (part of the Murugappa Group), where he was responsible for topline delivery, market shares, operating costs, and managing the processes to ensure consistent growth, quality, bottomline delivery. He was elevated to VP-Sales and Marketing in 2004, where he worked towards transforming the operations to a consumer oriented business through pan-company interventions. These included a radical churn in selling systems, move from wholesale to controlled distribution, setting up of retail operations, reduction of trade & company inventories (from 70 days to 30 days), enhancing the pace of new product introduction, reduced time to market for new product, etc.

In 2006, he joined the retail chain, Subhiksha, as President and played key role in creating systems to help rapid business expansion and turnover ramp of up to INR 2300 crore.

Almost three years later, he joined Godrej Nature’s Basket as MD and CEO. During his 7-year tenure, he transformed the company from a small un-differentiated retail business to a fast growing, sharply positioned entity by successfully dictating its locations strategy, design philosophy and defined the customer journey in the stores. Later, he was made the Head-Retail Strategy and Branding of Godrej Industries in 2016, where he fine-tuned the retail strategy for new retail brands across diverse companies in the Group and led development and launch of select high-potential business.

In 2017, he took charge as CEO at Graviss Foods, where he leads Baskin Robbins’ business, expansion and growth in India and parts of South Asia.

Vishal Kapoor
VP, Marketing | Graviss Foods (Baskin Robbins)

A commerce graduate from Delhi University and armed with a PG in marketing and management from IMI, Vishal Kapoor started his career in 2001 in Park Avenue’s marketing team. During the six years he spent at the company, he launched Park Avenue Women and initiated the roll out of 22 retail stores.

In 2008, he joined Barista Coffee Company as Head-Marketing & Product Development, where he initiated its customer loyalty program. Two years later he joined Next Retail India for a brief while as GM-Marketing, before shifting to Reid & Taylor India as VP-Marketing Communications.

In 2013, he joined Graviss Foods (Baskin Robbins) as VP-Marketing and in his current role, he is instrumental in driving the brand’s P&L jointly with its operations. He oversees the brand’s overall shift to a desserts solutions platform, which is being done through a mix of new product offerings and reach-out strategies.

Vishanand Charya

A commerce graduate from LS Raheja College of Arts & Commerce, Vishanand Charya started his career in 2003 with a Kuwait-based company, MH Alshaya Co, as Country Visual Merchandising Manager. After six years, he shifted to Al Ghanim Industries in the same country, as Visual Merchandising Manager, where he was in charge of store design and planning and executing store opening procedures in accordance with the business plans.

In January 2012, Vishanand moved to India and joined Arvind India as Head, Visual Merchandising, where for three years he focused on new store openings, designing and developing the brand’s VM identity across store space design, floor layouts, merchandising plans, fixtures and furniture.

In February 2015, he joined Colorplus Fashion as Head, Visual Merchandising. In his current role, Vishanand manages the strategic VM and marketing calendar to develop the company’s top-line and bottom-line. He also conceptualizes VM solutions directed to achieve desired sales growth. Vishanand also works on profitable store planning and merchandising needs through bi-yearly merchandise sales compliances in addition to conducting store and VM audit to ensure that all assets are well managed.

Devangi Nishar Parekh
Creative Director | Aza Fashions

When Dr. Alka Nishar launched Aza Fashions in 2005, she wanted the brand to break to make couture more accessible to customers who sought designer wear and help them try new trends without inhibitions. She was later helped in this endeavor by her daughter, Devangi Nishar Parekh.

A Wharton graduate, Devangi is the Creative Director at Aza Fashions, and has been responsible for taking the boutique chain’s operations online. She was also instrumental in helping the company expand into the kidswear and plus-size apparel, which is gaining traction in the country.

Shrey Aggarwal
Co-Founder | The Belgian Waffle Co

A foodie at heart, Shrey Aggarwal completed his Engineering Degree at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and later spent over three years managing projects and developing business for the technology industry. While working at Manila, he was impressed to see people pick up waffles and enjoy it on the go. So inspired was he that he quit his job and founded The Belgian Waffle Co in March 2015. Today, the QSR sells over 25000 waffles daily and the company has over 180 stores across 45 cities in India, Dubai and Nepal.

Siddhartha Lal
MD & CEO| Eicher Motors Ltd

Siddhartha Lal is the CEO of Royal Enfield. He is also the Managing Director & CEO of Eicher Motors Ltd., the flagship company of Eicher Group in India.

Since October 2012, Siddhartha is the Chairman of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV); a joint venture between Volvo group and Eicher Motors Ltd. (EML). July 2012 onwards, he is also the Chairman of Eicher-Polaris Private Limited (EPPL), a newly formed 50:50 strategic joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd. and US based Polaris Industries Inc. that will design, develop, manufacture and sell a full new range of personal vehicles.

From July 2008 to July 2010, Siddhartha was the CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV). VECV is the third largest Commercial Vehicles’ (CV) player in India and has ambitions to drive modernization in commercial transportation and become a leading trucks and buses company in India and emerging world markets. During 2000-2004, in his tenure as CEO of motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield (a division of EML),Siddhartha helped revive the company’s fortunes and also strengthened stakeholders’ involvement with the brand.

He holds a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from University of Leeds and is a Cranfield University qualified mechanical engineer. Siddhartha is also an Economics graduate from St. Stephens College in Delhi and an alumnus of The Doon School.

Pankaj Sharma
Global Head- Customer Experience | Royal Enfield

An engineering graduate, Pankaj Sharma began his career as Sales Executive in August 1994 with Philips India with its consumer electronics division. During the six years that he was with the company, he was elevated to Area Manager, where he oversaw the Eastern UP and Delhi regions.

In January 2001, he joined Tata Motors and three years later, he moved to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd where he was the Regional Manager (West) till April 2008. He was then promoted to Head-Sales for Corporate, Government, Institutional and Leasing, managing and in May 2011, he took charge of national operations as General Manager.

In August 2012, he joined Volkswagen India as Head of Sales Operations and after five years, shifted gears to manage the Global Head-Customer Experience at Royal Enfield.

Shital Mehta Choksi
DGM, Marketing | Oberoi Mall – India

Shita Mehta Chokshi began her career as Head – Marketing & Sales for Raghuleela Malls in June 2004 and in September 2008, she shifted to Korum Mall as Manager, Retail Solutions, where she was in charge of fit out coordination, events and promotions and mall decor. After taking a break to start her own entrepreneurial outfit, Silver Crest, she joined Oberoi Mall as Senior Manager Marketing in December 2011, and was later promoted to DGM, Marketing. In her current role, she oversees all the branding, advertising, PR, social media management, customer loyalty program, mall events, mall décor and strategic tie ups for the shopping center company.

Rahul Leekha
Owner/Director | Coffee By Di Bella

After completing his education in Mumbai, Rahul Leekha took a year’s break and then joined EmmayHR when he was in his early twenties. When the company was acquired by Randstad, he started his own HR advisory firm, Artemis, where he focused on placing senior-level management teams and worked with big-ticket brands like Godrej and Del Monte. Around that time, he met Philip Di Bella, founder of the Australian café brand, Coffee By Di Bella, which wanted to expand its Indian presence. And in 2009, Rahul launched the Indian arm of Australian coffee brand as a full-service coffee chain with 20 outlets in Mumbai and six in the offing.

Kunal Mehta
General Manager, IT – Lifestyle Business | Raymond Limited

Kunal started his career 19 years ago as a Senior Programmer with Baz Software where he carried out business analysis, database and systems design, client engagement, software development, UAT and training on multiple technologies for over two years. In 2003, he joined Nilkamal Ltd and later became the IT Head for its @Home retail stores. In also did a short stint with Johnson & Johnson where he mapped the business processes of its pharmaceutical division to the existing systems and develop customized applications. In May 2005, he joined Reliance Retail where he was part of the core team for systems design and rollout of Storeline systems (Retalix) software for various formats of Reliance Retail stores. He also managed IT operations, governance, rollout and support of 30 Reliance Fresh stores, helping it migrate from the legacy systems of Sahakari Bhandar. In October 2007, he joined Unisource, the global procurement hub for Steve & Barry’s retail chain. As a SAP Project Manager and Business Analyst, he led a team of business systems analysts to implement SAP and develop supporting systems for various functions for India and US operations.

In September 2008, he joined Trent Hypermarket Ltd as Head – IT. During his seven years in the company, Kunal drove a digital transformation initiative to integrate all IT systems and processes under a uniform infrastructure. Currently, as GM-IT, Lifestyle Business for Raymond Ltd, Kunal is responsible for creating the company’s IT strategy and framework for the enterprise as well as digital and omni-channel business.

Anil Shankar
VP, Solutions and Technology | Shoppers Stop

An economics graduate from Behrampur University, Anil started his career in 1994 as Senior Officer – Systems with Sterling Holiday Resorts, where he worked for over five years. A big change in his career came when he joined Shoppers Stop in May 1999 and in the 19 years that he has been associated with the retail major, he managed various leadership roles and worked extensively on design, implementation and support of large IT projects. In his current role, he heads the team responsible for setting up and managing technology infrastructure for the Shoppers Stop retail group of companies.
