POPxo, a digital community for millennial women, marked its entry into offline retailing by opening its first standalone outlet at Select Citywalk. The company plans to open four more stores across malls in the coming quarter and will retail its private label and licensed merchandise. With the introduction of POPxo Shop the company is solidifying its position as a Content-Community-Commerce platform.

Armed with the data insight that millennial women are looking to buy well-designed products that express their personality, POPxo launched its private e-commerce label last year. It sells lifestyle products designed and produced in house by the POPxo team. It has a collection of bags, notebooks, laptop sleeves and other lifestyle products and plans to launch skincare and fashion in June 2019.

Priyanka Gill, Founder and CEO of Luxeva Limited said, “Producing private label merchandise is a natural progression for us as a content company. We use data and inputs from our most popular articles, videos and social memes to design products that millennial love. These products are then sold online via content to our existing user base of millions of women. With the new launch they will be sold offline as well.”

Recently, Cartoon Network collaborated with POPxo to launch ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ product collection. The range includes sweatshirts, phone covers, wall clocks and colourful notebooks inspired by the animated crime-fighting trio Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup, as well as arch-rivals Mojo Jojo, HIM and Fuzzy Lumpkins. These too will be available at the physical outlet.  

Every month, POPxo’s team creates over 1500 stories and 80 videos in six languages. With over 39 million monthly active users across all platforms, it claimed that users spend over 3 million hours consuming its content. Armed with the insight that millennials are looking to buy well-designed products that express their personality, the platform launched its private e-commerce label that sells lifestyle products designed and produced in house by the POPxo team.
