eCommerce in India has spread itself across categories, including online availability and delivery of meat as well. With an impressive presence in Mumbai and Delhi, Meatigo.com, is now planning to target 2 more cities namely Bangalore and Pune with over 25+ distribution hubs.

With most online players focus on raw Chicken and Mutton, Meatigo.com has been able to distinguish itself by catering to all meat lovers whose love for good quality meat goes beyond these standard cuts that are easily available in the market. Their range includes a collection of 150+ meats including raw Pork, Duck, Exotic Meats, 60+ fresh Deli Meat options, Imported Cold Cuts & Ready to Eat offerings like Momos, Kebabs and Burger Patties. According to Siddhant Wangdi, Founder, Meatigo.com, “We have the highest the average order value of Rs 1,250 – 3X the competitors in the market.”

What further sets the brand stand tall amongst the unorganized channel of meat distribution is their end to end supply chain model that starts from procuring fresh meats to processing, storage and last mile delivery. As claimed by the company, they work directly with farms, supply partners and importers, procuring high-quality antibiotic and hormone free meats and meat products which are further inspected by a team of experienced food technologists and trained butchers. Post all necessary quality checks, all the meats are vacuum packed and sealed using German Technology.

The company has been funded internally so far and now aims to raise funds for the first time this financial year. The company plan to grow further by expanding their distribution hubs in the cities they are present in apart from having an expansion across two more cities in India.  Elaborating on funding, Wangdi adds, “We’re also in talks with various investors to raise funds and be part of the growth journey.  Our focus from very early on has been to create a profitable and sustainable business model in this industry and we plan to keep the same strategy going ahead.”
